Lulu Mitshabu grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where she was forced to flee as a refugee due to a lack of rights for women. Lulu soon became a social justice advocate and campaigner for the rights of women and girls. Throughout her journey, Lulu believes Jesus guided her in bringing her family to a safe place. Today, Lulu works for Caritas Australia. She is the mother of six girls and lives in Canberra with her husband.
